Rock 'n Roll

THEY say "jack of all trades, master of none". I say, I've just about mastered the juggling act that is my passion for breaking news, my addiction to travel, and my undying love of rock 'n roll.

A freelance journalist for print, online and broadcast, I come with an old-school newshound sensibility. Expect an energetic and off-beat take on every yarn - and it will be a yarn.

Previously, I've dived off cliffs, traversed Vietnam on a train full of war vets, slept out with 400,000 Pope-loving pilgrims, and sped towards raging bushfires, all in the pursuit of a story. Whatever the assignment, I'll deliver a colourful, creative, and 100 per cent correct account - and always before deadline.

In this life and past ones, I've been: Live television news producer and presenter, covering Australian and international news for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Freelance music and culture writer, including Mary's Rock and Roll Tour of America a six-month travel column for News Ltd

Competition skater and publicity coordinator for the volunteer-run, not-for-profit South Sea Roller Derby

League Specialist Lawn Bowls correspondent at the
2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games

Producer and publicist for various live theatre productions at the Melbourne Fringe Festival

Daily news reporter for Australia's biggest-selling newspaper,
the Herald Sun

Talks Producer and presenter in news and music programming for youth radio SYN 90.7

I shoot photos and video on my SLR, cut sound and vision, find talent and conduct interviews, and come with a hefty contact book. Please check out my portfolio pages, and get in touch to negotiate my next assignment!
